Bundesliga International, the German football league’s commercial arm, has signed a new partnership with the fantasy football gaming platform Sorare.
With the agreement in place, Sorare has become the official partner of the top two tiers of German football; Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga until the end of 2022-23 season.
As per the agreement, Sorare will be making non-fungible tokens (NFTs) of Bundesliga, and 2. Bundesliga players as part of its fantasy football game in the form of digital player cards, which would be made available for users to create their virtual teams.
Sorare will also additionally be publishing NFT videos from the two leagues which would be known as “Moments” that will allow the fans to own a piece of the history of the league. These moments would also be a part of their fantasy football game.

“I am therefore convinced that this collaboration will give rise to further impulses. At the same time, Sorare will benefit from the appeal of one of the most popular sport brands.”

Sorare recently received a $680m funding in the Series B funding round and already has partnerships in place with La Liga and more than 200 clubs.
