ISOBAR has extended its partnership with British Cycling, reinforcing its role in supporting the recovery and performance of Olympic and Paralympic athletes as the Great Britain Cycling Team begins its preparations for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The renewed agreement will see the UK-based personalised compression therapy specialist continue as British Cycling’s approved partner supplier of customised compression wear, providing bespoke recovery solutions to athletes across the governing body’s World Class Performance Programme. The collaboration builds on a relationship established ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic cycle and underlines British Cycling’s continued investment in performance science and athlete welfare.
Under the partnership, ISOBAR will supply personalised compression garments to riders competing across track cycling, BMX Racing, BMX Freestyle and para-cycling. Designed to support athletes throughout training, competition, travel and rehabilitation, the technology forms part of British Cycling’s wider strategy of optimising every aspect of elite performance.
Unlike conventional compression garments that rely on standard sizing, ISOBAR uses its proprietary ISOFIT® video body scanning system alongside personalised pressure engineering and NeoMesh™ fabric technology to create garments tailored to each athlete’s physiology. The company says its customised approach helps improve circulation, reduce muscle fatigue, accelerate recovery and better prepare athletes for the physical demands of elite competition.
The partnership will also extend beyond product supply, with both organisations collaborating on athlete education, performance insights and content focused on the growing importance of recovery within high-performance sport.
Clive Gunther, CEO at ISOBAR, said, “British Cycling continues to set the standard for high-performance sport, and we’re incredibly proud to extend our partnership with such a world-class organisation.
“Recovery is a critical part of performance, yet it is often approached using generic solutions. Through this partnership, we’re helping athletes access personalised compression therapy that is built around their individual physiology and recovery needs.
“We’re excited to continue working alongside the Great Britain Cycling Team as they prepare for the next chapter of international competition and the lead-up to the LA Games in 2028.”
Performance Director for the Great Britain Cycling Team, Stephen Park CBE, added, “The Great Britain Cycling Team has a long-standing reputation of being a world-leader in cycling, and in order to maintain this position, we need to make sure we are maximising every single area of our riders’ potential ability. While what most people see is performance in competition, our riders cannot deliver this without high-quality preparation and recovery.
“This is why we’re so pleased to continue our partnership with the innovators at ISOBAR. The partnership we have developed in the lead-up to the Paris Games was just the start of what I believe this partnership can achieve for our performance programme, and I look forward to continuing to work with a local, industry-leading team through to LA 2028.”
The renewal further strengthens ISOBAR’s presence within elite sport while providing British Cycling with continued access to personalised recovery technology as marginal gains remain central to success on the international stage.
