The Serie A champions, Inter Milan and the Italian banking giant, BPER, have announced a partnership expansion until the 2025/26 season.
A cornerstone of the expanded agreement is the financial institution’s acquisition of the naming rights of Inter’s renowned Appiano Gentile training centre, which will now be known as the BPER Training Center. This rebranding honours the legacy of Angelo Moratti, the former FC Internazionale Milano owner and an Italian oil tycoon.
In addition to the naming rights, the banking group has secured the role of Milano’s official training kit sleeve partner. The bank’s logo will be prominently featured on the men’s and women’s training kits, and the domestic pre-match kits, enhancing its visibility within the Nerazzurri ecosystem. To further amplify its brand presence, the credit institution will also benefit from increased LED board advertising during matches at the San Siro Stadium.
Commenting on the extension, Alessandro Antonello, CEO Corporate FC Internazionale Milano, said, “We are very proud and happy to be able to continue this agreement with BPER thanks to our links with Mastercard two companies who are leaders in their respective fields. Continuing this journey together for another two seasons and having the opportunity to develop this collaboration is evidence of the huge amount of work we have done in this first year, and of Inter’s value to big players outside of the world of sport.”
Gianni Franco Papa, CEO BPER, added, “We’re happy we’re strengthening our partnership with Inter, one of the best football teams in Italy and the world. They’ve achieved huge results and made their fans proud. Supporting such an important sporting institution allows us to share our driving values of passion, commitment, and team spirit with sports fans.”
The partnership between the commercial bank and Inter is courtesy of a shared collaboration with Mastercard, which will continue to provide exclusive fan experiences and benefits for cardholders.
BPER Banca, a leading Italian banking group, offers financial services to individuals, businesses, and public entities. With its headquarters in Modena, the bank has a strong presence across Italy and is committed to supporting the country’s economic growth.
Fresh off their 2023/24 Serie A title, Inter Milan are poised for another successful season. The club will compete in the Coppa Italia, Italian Supercup, UEFA Champions League, and FIFA Club World Cup. Aiming to defend their domestic crown, the Nerazzurri will kick off their campaign against Genoa CFC on August 18 at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
