Riot Games has partnered with Electronics specialists – Bose as a sponsor of its League of Legends esports global events. As per the deal, the brand will provide its SoundComm noise cancellation headset to players, coaches, referees and production team members for the World Championship, Mid-Season Invitational and All-Star Event.
The new partnership gets underway with the 2020 League of Legends World Championship, which will be held Shanghai, China from September 25 to October 31. The two organizations will be working closely to provide fans with the content through “Sounds of the Game” which will give an inside analysis of the team dynamics.
Naz Aletaha, head of global esports partnerships & business development, Riot Games said, “Communication is one of the keys to success in League of Legends. Not only do pro players have to be able to clearly hear in-game sounds, they must be in constant communication with their teammates to coordinate plays. Bose’s expert sound engineering wholly tackles the demanding audio requirements of LoL Esports.”
Earlier this year, Riot games partnered with music streaming platform – Spotify and technology brand – CISCO, strengthening its sponsor’s portfolio for League of Legends. With this partnership, Spotify and Bose take the first step into the esports arena.
