BKT renews LaLiga sponsorship deal for additional three years

Spain is a key market for BKT, especially in the agriculture sector.

BKT has extended its global sponsorship of LaLiga for another three years, through the end of the 2024/2025 campaign. In 2019, BKT became a global sponsor of LaLiga.

Balkrishna Industries Limited (BKT) is a tyre manufacturing multinational headquartered in Mumbai, India. Off-highway tyres are made by Balkrishna Industries and are utilised in industries such as mining, earthmoving, agriculture, and gardening. Balkrishna Industries primarily serves the North American and European replacement markets. The company’s North American headquarters are in Akron, Ohio, and one warehouse is in Wando, South Carolina. The farm market accounts for over 80% of Balkrishna Industries’ business in the United States.

Spain is a key market for BKT, especially in the agriculture sector. With deals in basketball, cricket, and rugby, BKT has leveraged sports sponsorship to increase brand awareness worldwide. BKT has also partnered domestically with several Indian Premier League (IPL) teams such as Mumbai Indians (MI), Delhi Capitals (DC), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Punjab Kings (PBKS), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Gujarat Titans (GT).

“The partnership between LaLiga and BKT over the past three years has allowed us to help them increase their global exposure through our fans and audience. We both strive for excellence in what we do, and this is certainly a relationship that we are delighted to renew for a new cycle,” said, Óscar Mayo, Executive Director of LaLiga.

“The market now is the world. In order to act globally, a common language is needed to reach increasingly larger communities. That being said, what can be more viral than sport? … This cooperation gives us again the opportunity to strengthen both our presence and brand awareness in Spain, a country we consider strategically highly important in terms of business,” stated, Lucía Salmaso, CEO of BKT Europe.
