LALIGA, the top-tier football league in Spain, has announced a significant partnership with the online cryptocurrency platform, Bitget.
This agreement, which was unveiled at Token2049 in Singapore, is Bitget’s first significant step into the sports industry in Eastern, Southeast, and Latin America.
The alliance is worth several million dollars and aligns with both firms’ ‘Make It Count’ ethos. It provides specific benefits to both Bitget and LALIGA, enhancing audience engagement and the acceptance of cryptocurrency in the sports business.
LALIGA is well-known for producing football legends, most notably Lionel Messi, who is the brand ambassador of Bitget. The iconic player spent most of his career at Barcelona and has broken several LALIGA records and established himself as one of football’s best players.
On the partnership, Bitget’s CEO, Gracy Chen, said, “As the world of sports continues to embrace digital innovation, crypto, blockchain, and emerging technology are becoming integral to this transformation, Partnering with LALIGA allows us to accelerate the growth of crypto in sports, bringing new opportunities for fans and athletes alike.”
This new agreement will help Bitget strengthen its position in the worldwide sports and cryptocurrency industries.
This is a market trend, with several crypto businesses entering the sporting industry. In recent times, Kraken has partnered with RB Leipzig, and Atlético de Madrid, while, zondacrypto also collaborated with Atalanta BC, and Juventus FC.
