Berlin International Gaming (BIG), a German esports organization, has revealed Coinbase as its new major sponsor for its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive squad. The agreement is a renewal of BIG’s continuing Coinbase partnership, which began in August 2021.
BIG’s CS:GO squad jersey now features Coinbase instead of Betway in the centre. The package obtained by Coinbase, as per the official statement on BIG’s website, comprises a broad spectrum of activations such as community events, championships, and fan engagements.
BIG’s CEO, Daniel Finkler, credited the agreement to the company’s previous investment portfolios. This involves guaranteeing slots in some of the most prestigious CS:GO tournaments.
Daniel Finkler, said, “The financial scope of the partnership demonstrates that the acquisition of the BLAST Premier and ESL Pro League Partner slots in 2021 proved to be the best decision we could have made. Together with Coinbase, we will compete in the largest and most prestigious esports competitions globally.”
SPORTFIVE, a sports marketing firm, was in charge of organizing the association. The partnership is a multi-million dollar agreement, according to BIG’s official announcement, despite the lack of financial records.
BIG is a German esports company founded in 2017 by Fatih “gob b” Dayik, Nikola “LEGIJA” Nini, and Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz, all of whom previously played for NRG E-sports.
