The Big Bash Leagues (KFC BBL and Weber WBBL), Australia’s premier professional Twenty20 cricket competitions, have announced a significant new partnership with the global athletic giant, New Balance.

Starting with the 2025-26 season, New Balance will become the official apparel partner for both leagues for a minimum of five seasons, promising a dynamic and innovative new look for all eight men’s and women’s clubs.

This strategic agreement sees New Balance, in close collaboration with their Australasian elite teamwear partner Belgravia Apparel, design and produce a complete range of playing kits, training wear, and supporter merchandise. The partnership marks a notable shift in apparel providers, with New Balance taking over from its previous partner, Nike.

Cricket fans can look forward to the highly anticipated unveiling of the all-new club-playing kits in October 2025, building excitement for the upcoming summer of cricket. The Weber WBBL|11 season will be the first to showcase the new New Balance designs, officially commencing on Sunday, November 9, 2025. Following this, the KFC BBL|15 will debut New Balance apparel on Sunday, December 16, 2025, with a thrilling opening fixture featuring Hobart Hurricanes hosting Sydney Thunder.

Alistair Dobson, Cricket Australia’s General Manager of Big Bash Leagues, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration and said, “We’re thrilled to partner with New Balance for at least the next five Big Bash seasons. Like the Big Bash Leagues, New Balance does things differently, and we’re excited to see our clubs take things to the next level in new playing kits. Player connection and fan experience is at the heart of the Big Bash and our partnership with New Balance will play a key role in driving the next chapter of the league’s exciting story.”

Dean Howard, New Balance Australia Regional General Manager, echoed this sentiment and added, “At New Balance, our job is to aid athletes in their pursuit of excellence, whether that means helping professional athletes win medals or propelling the community to live a healthy and active lifestyle. The Big Bash provides a platform for New Balance to play at the intersection of sporting culture whilst bringing an elevated, global brand experience to the sport. In close partnership with Belgravia Apparel, we are proud to partner with the Big Bash and look forward to seeing the partnership come to life for fans and players alike over the next five years.”

New Balance already boasts a strong presence within Australian sport, having served as the apparel supplier for Australia’s domestic cricket teams (Sheffield Shield, Men’s One-Day Cup, Women’s National Cricket League) since 2021. The brand also holds partnerships with several AFL clubs, Super Netball teams, and prominent individual athletes, including Australian men’s national team captain Pat Cummins.

This new alliance is poised to not only enhance the visual appeal of the Big Bash Leagues but also provide players with high-performance apparel designed to optimize their performance. For fans, a fresh and exciting range of supporter gear will be available, fostering a deeper connection with their favourite teams. Full schedules for both the KFC BBL|15 and Weber WBBL|11 seasons are expected to be announced shortly.
