Betway SA20 forges strategic partnership with DP World ahead of season 3

The South African T20 cricket league, Betway SA20 has developed a strategic partnership with the Emirati multinational logistics company, DP World.

DP World has become the league’s global logistics partner, delivering sophisticated logistics solutions to support the effective and efficient distribution of South Africa’s top T20 cricket league.

SA20 League Commissioner, Graeme Smith, said, “Partnering with DP World marks a significant milestone for Betway SA20. We are committed to aligning with brands which share the same vision for innovation and continuous improvement as the League and their expertise will add significant value to our operations and enhance the overall competition experience.”

The association builds on DP World’s acclaimed sports partnership portfolio, which comprises the McLaren F1 team, ILT20, the Ryder Cup, Delhi Capitals, and the ICC.

Notably, DP World is also the title partner of the DP World Wanderers Stadium, which will host the Betway SA20 Final on February 8, 2025.

The logistics behemoth additionally impacts the lives of numerous young cricketers via the Beyond Boundaries Initiative, a global commitment to the advancement of cricket and the communities it serves that will see DP World layout and distribute fifty repurposed shipping containers to grassroots cricket clubs all over globe, each outfitted with much-needed equipment.

In the initiative’s first year, DP World used its global smart logistics network to send 10 containers throughout the world and distribute 2,500 cricket kits to aspiring players. Both businesses will collaborate through the Beyond Boundaries Initiative and Betway SA20’s own impact projects to continue developing the game for everyone.

Both entities will collaborate to improve the cricket experience on the pitch while also facilitating efficient and sustainable off-field solutions that are consistent with global best practices. It is part of a common goal to establish South Africa as a global centre for cricket excellence and international trade.

Season 3 of Betway SA20 begins on January 9 with reigning champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape hosting MI Cape Town at St George’s Park.
