Betway SA20 announces FanCraze as official digital collectibles partner

The South African domestic T20 competition, Betway SA20 has announced a partnership with the global tech company, FanCraze.

In this development, FanCraze has been named the upcoming competition’s official digital collectibles partner. This newly-inked partnership is a multi-year deal that will help the league venture into the Metaverse. This exciting association has made SA20 the first cricket league to release digital collectibles in their first-ever edition.

The two parties involved will team up to release official digital player cards the following week. This initiative will enable fans to collect their favourite players, play games, trade with other cricket enthusiasts and unlock unique experiences.

Commenting on the partnership, Betway SA20 League Commissioner, Graeme Smith said, “We are an innovative and digitally-led League so it makes sense for us to partner with a brand on the forefront of technology. We want to give our fans an all-round immersive experience on and off the field and we hope this partnership will take our offering to the next level.”

South African Cricketers Association (SACA) CEO, Andrew Breetzke said, “SACA has had extensive engagement with Betway SA20 on the introduction of a number of exciting commercial initiatives – all of which will benefit the league and the players. This partnership between SA20 and FanCraze will further enhance the reputation of the SA20 as a leading League in the world and open up additional revenue streams for players.”

FanCraze has rich experience in collaborating with some of the prominent names from the cricket fraternity – Delhi Capitals (DC), Women’s T20 Challenge, ICC, Cricket West Indies (CWI), Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Muthiah Muralidaran, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Yuzvendra Chahal.

Prior to this development, SA20 signed Betway as its title sponsor and also inked a multi-year media rights deal with Viacom18.
