Betway inks premium betting partnership with ATP Tour 500 event The Rio Open

The international digital company of Super Group has also planned to make content for tennis fans.

Betway has announced a two-year deal with the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour 500 competition, The Rio Open as the premium betting partner. The partnership will be for the next two editions of the annual tournament.

The deal will also include association rights as well as eminent branding across all match courts for the 2022 and 2023 editions of the Rio Open.

The international digital company of Super Group has also planned to make content for hardcore tennis fans that will be circulated through the tournament’s social media and other digital channels.

The Director of the Rio Open, Marcia Casz stated that it’s a pleasure to have a brand as great as Betway in the Rio Open group. She also said, “We are very successful in having one of the leaders in its segment as a partner in the largest tennis event in Latin America and we hope to maintain a partnership for many years to come.”

The tournament began back in 2014 and ever since then, it has seen some big names like Rafael Nadal, David Ferrer and Cristian Garin. These stars have made the eight clay courts of the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro a huge blockbuster. The Rio Open is the only ATP Tour 500 event that takes place in South America and the only ATP Tour event in Brazil.

The agreement will continue Betway’s successful streak of a tennis sponsorship partnership with lately also becoming the official betting partner of the Stockholm Open.

On the partnership, Betway Chief Exec Anthony Werkman said, “Adding to our already enviable existing portfolio of tennis sponsorships, we’re delighted to become a premium partner of the Rio Open, Brazil’s only ATP Tour event.”

“The tournament is always contested by the sport’s top talent and having an association with it marks another proud moment for the Betway brand.”
