The Brazilian online sports betting firm, Betano has unveiled a new sponsorship deal for the sixth iteration of the Brazilian Super Cup. The match, which kicks off the Brazilian football season, pits Brazilian Championship winner Palmeiras against the Copa do Brasil champion, Flamengo.
On January 28, the match will take place at Estadio Mané Garrincha in Brasilia (DF). In addition to the Supercopa do Brasil, the betting brand also purchased the assets in the Copa do Brasil under a deal which will run through 2025.
Alexandre Fonseca, National Manager, Betano, commented, “The acquisition of the naming rights for the Supercopa comes as a natural consequence of the acquisition of the naming rights for the 2023 Copa do Brasil. By investing in the main sports competitions in the country, Betano helps to promote the sports industry, strengthens its brand and positions itself increasingly towards market leadership.”
The betting company will have various courses of action during the match, with its logo appearing on the central event signature panel, and LED panels all across the field, in addition to the 3D mats and the centre mat in midfield, pre-match, and half-time. The new agreement signed also includes the naming rights and official sponsor status.
Additionally, the company’s logo will be present on the stadium’s outside envelope, on the benches, during the team’s entry ritual, and when the match’s winner is announced in 2023.
The commercial manager of the competition, Brax Sports Assets, who helped with the terms of the contract, negotiated the collaboration.
Bruno Rodrigues, one of Brax’s partners, said, “The Supercopa Betano do Brasil is a unique product, with a unique capacity for attractiveness, with the involvement of brands of international dimensions. Brax is immensely pleased and excited to participate and collaborate with the projection of the product.”
