beIN SPORTS secures UEFA broadcast rights in MENA & Asia until 2027

This renewal has ensured football fans across 23 MENA and 10 Asian countries will continue to enjoy unparalleled coverage of the UEFA club competitions.

beIN MEDIA GROUP, the preeminent sports and entertainment network spanning the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and Asia, has cemented its position as the undisputed home of elite European football by announcing a significant multi-year extension of its media rights agreement with UC3, the UEFAECA joint venture.

This landmark deal has ensured that beIN SPORTS will remain the exclusive broadcaster of UEFA’s prestigious club competitions across 33 key markets in the MENA region and Asia until the conclusion of the 2026/27 season. This renewal builds upon a successful partnership that commenced in the 2012/13 season, guaranteeing football enthusiasts in 23 MENA countries and 10 Asian nations continued access to unparalleled live and exclusive coverage of the UEFA Champions League (men’s), UEFA Women’s Champions League, UEFA Europa League (men’s), and UEFA Conference League (men’s).

The timing of this extension is particularly significant as UEFA Club Competitions enter an exciting new era. The current 2024/25 season has seen the introduction of a dynamic 36-team league format for the men’s tournaments, resulting in a substantial 20% increase in matches. Furthermore, the UEFA Women’s Champions League will adopt a new 18-team league format starting from the 2025/26 season, promising an even greater wealth of high-quality football action for viewers across the beIN SPORTS network.

The exclusive broadcast rights encompass a wide geographical footprint, including Algeria, Bahrain, Chad, Djibouti, Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, UAE, Yemen, and Iraq in the MENA region, alongside Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Timor-Leste, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia in Asia. Notably, the renewed agreement also sees an expansion of coverage, bringing the highly sought-after UEFA Club Competitions back to beIN SPORTS platforms in Indonesia and the Philippines.

Mohammed Al-Subaie, CEO of beIN MENA, commented on the announcement and said, “With UEFA’s new competition format living up to its promise and producing huge matches from matchday one, we are delighted that beIN will continue to bring this new era to our subscribers in MENA and Asia. beIN has been home to elite European club football for more than a decade now, providing award-winning coverage of every game, insights from a wide range of world-class analysts and experts, and exclusive interviews with the most influential figures in the game. We are proud of our partnership with UC3 and to extend it once again is a testament to our position as the global home of football.”

Guy-Laurent Epstein, Co-Managing Director of UC3, echoed this sentiment and added, “We are delighted to extend our long-standing, fruitful partnership with beIN SPORTS. Thanks to their cutting-edge analysis and high-quality production levels, fans in 33 countries across the Middle East, North Africa and Asia will continue to enjoy the new-look UEFA men’s club competitions in addition to the exciting, revamped UEFA Women’s Champions League for the next three years.”

This extended rights agreement underscores beIN MEDIA GROUP’s unwavering commitment to providing its subscribers with unparalleled access to premium sports content and further solidifies its position as a leading global sports broadcaster.
