The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released an Invitation to Tender (ITT) for owning and operating a team in Women’s Indian Premier League (WIPL).
The first-ever edition of the WIPL is likely to be played from March 6 – 26, 2023 and will be followed by the men’s IPL. The ITT will be made available following the payment of INR 5,00,000 plus any applicable Goods and Services Tax. The ITT also contains eligibility requirements, the process for submissions of bids, the proposed team’s rights and obligations, etc. The deadline for the acquisition of ITT is January 21, 2023.
“Any interested party wishing to submit a bid is required to purchase the ITT. However, only those satisfying the eligibility criteria set out in the ITT and subject to the other terms and conditions set out therein, shall be eligible to bid. It is clarified that merely purchasing this ITT does not entitle any person to bid,” the BCCI stated in the release.
“BCCI reserves the right to cancel or amend the bidding process at any stage in any manner at its discretion.“
