Football Australia (FA), the governing body for Australian soccer, futsal, and beach soccer, announced a partnership with Allianz Australia, a leading insurance provider and part of the Allianz Group.

This multi-year agreement has solidified Allianz’s commitment to supporting the ongoing growth and development of Australian football.

Through this agreement, Allianz has become the official insurance partner of FA and sees the brand’s logo featured on the back of the training and off-field apparel of the Subway Socceroos, Matildas, CommBank ParaMatildas, and CommBank Pararoos teams.

The partnership signifies a meeting of minds between two organizations with a shared vision. FA and Allianz are committed to fostering inclusivity, empowering communities, and inspiring the next generation of Australian football talent.

James Johnson, CEO of Football Australia, expressed his enthusiasm, “We are delighted to welcome Allianz to the growing Football Australia family. Their commitment to inclusivity and community empowerment mirrors our own values and vision for football in Australia. This partnership will not only provide crucial support for our national teams but also inspire the next generation of Australian talent. We look forward to a successful and collaborative partnership.

“Allianz joins a suite of other commercial partners who have partnered with Football Australia over the last four years. We are delighted to add another global brand to our network of strong partnerships, further enhancing our ability to grow the game and support our teams.”

Richard Feledy, Managing Director of Allianz Australia, echoed the sentiment, “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Football Australia, further highlighting our global commitment to sport and the incredible value it brings to the communities in which we operate. This partnership is a natural fit for us, given Allianz’s global family of stadiums and our commitment to football internationally. We believe sport promotes diversity, supports mental and physical health, and fosters a sense of unity and belonging. Through this partnership with Football Australia, we hope to inspire future generations of footballers.”

Headquartered in Munich, Germany, Allianz boasts over 130 years of experience in financial services. The company offers a comprehensive suite of insurance and asset management solutions, serving over 100 million customers globally. This partnership underscores Allianz’s longstanding commitment to sports sponsorships, including its successful, multi-decade partnership with Bayern Munich and the naming rights for the Allianz Arena. Furthermore, Allianz Australia remains the official insurance partner of Paralympics Australia beyond the Paris Paralympic Games.

This announcement coincides with FA’s recent partnerships with CUPRA and Milo. The upcoming Paris Olympic Games will see the launch of a major Allianz Australia marketing campaign leading up to the Matildas’ opening match against Germany on July 25.
