Australia vs India: Players travel to Sydney for third test

Both Indian and Australian teams have landed in Sydney for the third Test match of Border Gavaskar trophy that is set to begin from January 7. Teams have been training hard as the game is just around corner.

Though the rain washed out India’s practice match at MCG on Sunday, the players have been training hard in their respective arenas.

BCCI’s Twitter handle and Team India’s Cricket Instagram handle often share glimpses of players practising. Very recently the social media handles shared intense fielding practice that India undertook at MCG.

The video captioned “He has grabbed everything that has come his way on this Australian tour.#TeamIndia #AUSvIND” was shared on the social media.

T Natrajan, who was selected on his IPL 2020 performance, left no stone unturned in making a mark during the ongoing series against Australia. He contributed significantly with the ball ODI and T20 where he even debuted.  He is likely to make his Test debut in the third Test in Sydney, replacing injured Umesh Yadav in the team.

The Instagram handle of Team India too shared a video where Hanuman Vihari took a brilliant catch. The post captioned “When you drop the cap but don’t drop the catch.” Vihari will need big performances in remaining two games of the series after scoring very few runs at MCG and Adelaide.

As the series is now level 1-1, both teams are expected to fight it out for trophy and Test championship points in upcoming two games.
