The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour has onboarded Bitpanda, Europe’s leading digital assets platform, as an official partner for the 2025 season.
Bitpanda will work with the ATP Tour, in addition to its ATP 500 and ATP 250 tournaments in relevant nations. The cooperation will begin with the BMW Open in Munich.
The cryptocurrency startup has already partnered with various ATP Tour member tennis players, including world number three Alexander Zverev, Dominic Thiem, and three-time Grand Slam winner Stanislas Wawrinka.
As a major European digital investment platform, Bitpanda’s collaboration with the ATP demonstrates the sport’s dedication to innovation and engaging a tech-savvy worldwide audience. This collaboration underscores the ATP’s overall aim of partnering with forward-thinking businesses that appeal to the next generation of fans and investors.
Daniele Sanó, ATP Chief Business Officer, commented, “We’re thrilled to team up with Bitpanda. The digital asset space is becoming more and more relevant, and it’s an area we’ve been actively exploring. This partnership builds on Bitpanda’s strong support for tennis – across both players and events – and brings fresh energy and ideas for how we engage with fans.”
Cryptocurrency sponsorship in sports has expanded quickly in recent years. Despite this, the crypto market crisis of 2022, which continued into 2023, resulted in numerous crypto and digital asset sponsorship deals falling through or being terminated outright.
