The LALIGA powerhouse, Atlético de Madrid and the global technology leader, LG Electronics have joined forces in a groundbreaking partnership.
This collaboration sees LG develop and install state-of-the-art LED technology at the Estadio Cívitas Metropolitano, transforming it into a world-class venue for audiovisual experiences.
A signature element of the project will be a new, elliptical LED display on the stadium roof. Designed to seamlessly integrate with the existing structure, it will create a stunning 360-degree visual effect, becoming a digital centrepiece for one of Atlético’s most iconic areas. Additionally, high-performance, custom-designed screens will be installed throughout the stadium’s interior and exterior, doubling the current LED coverage.
Commenting on the partnership, Jaime de Jaraíz, CEO of LG España, said, “It’s an honour for LG to be able to work alongside Club Atlético de Madrid on this exciting project, the most ambitious we’ve developed to date in the area of sports. Our LED technology, together with the personalised design and attention to detail that we offer in every aspect of this installation, will make every visit to the stadium an incredible experience for fans of good football and every form of entertainment, in line with our motto ‘Life’s Good’.”
Óscar Mayo, General Director of Revenue and Operations, added, “LG is the best possible partner to improve the audiovisual experience for every spectator at the Cívitas Metropolitano. Thanks to this new development, our stadium and future Ciudad del Deporte projects will become technological frontrunners in the area of providing a service for fans.”
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to excellence and innovation between the Colchoneros and the electronics manufacturer. Fans attending matches and events at the Civitas Metropolitano will enjoy a significantly enhanced audiovisual experience thanks to the new LED technology.
