Atlético de Madrid welcome Red Bull as energy drink sponsor until 2027

For the first time in Spain, Red Bull is collaborating with a football club to further its dedication to 'providing wings' not just to individual athletes but also to team sports.

The LALIGA powerhouse, Atlético de Madrid have inked a new multi-year sponsorship association with Red Bull, the global energy drink brand.

As part of the deal, Red Bull has become the official energy drink sponsor of the club until June 2027.

This collaboration enables both organisations to increase their worldwide footprint, promote a culture of continuous improvement, and strive for success. For the first time in Spain, the Austrian brand is collaborating with a football club to further its dedication to ‘providing wings’ not just to individual athletes but also to team sports.

Furthermore, Red Bull will also play an important role in improving the matchday experience and key events held this year at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano. The brand’s products will also be offered for enjoyment by all spectators attending our stadium.

Oscar Mayo, Atlético de Madrid’s Chief Revenue and Operations Officer, said, “We are thrilled about this new venture with Red Bull, a company that shares our passion for spectacle and great challenges. We are grateful that their first experience in Spanish football is with us. Both of us believe in sport as a combination of dedication, hard work, and a great dose of adrenaline that excites fans. The worldwide energy drink brand Red Bull was founded in Austria in 1984. The brand is well-known for its robust flavour and high caffeine content. Prior to this arrangement, Red Bull had recently extended its portfolio by working with football teams like Nottingham ForestCrystal PalaceWest Ham UnitedNewcastle United FCTorino FC, and Leeds United FC.

In India, the brand also partnered with FC Goa for the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season.
