The partnership, which started in 2001 when Nike became Atlético de Madrid's official technical sponsor.

The LALIGA powerhouse, Atlético de Madrid have developed a sponsorship extension with Nike, the global leader in sportswear, until 2035.

The partnership, which started in 2001 when Nike became the club’s official technical sponsor, has been characterised by a mutual dedication to innovation, creativity, and excellence.

According to the new deal, Nike will enhance its support for Atlético’s men’s and women’s teams while continuing to play an important part in the club’s continued growth.

Over the last two decades, the alliance has seen Atlético de Madrid undergo several significant milestones. During this time, the team has won 16 major trophies, including two men’s LALIGA championships, three women’s league crowns, and six European titles. Nike has also been involved in key off-field projects, like the club’s successful transition from Vicente Calderón Stadium to Riyadh Air Metropolitano.

In addition to local and European success, Atlético has cemented their place among Europe’s premier clubs, being one of just six teams to qualify for all twelve UEFA Champions League seasons.

With the extension in place, the partnership looks forward to ambitious goals, beginning with Atlético’s participation in the 2018 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States and the opening of the Ciudad del Deporte.
