The National Basketball Association (NBA) team, Atlanta Hawks, has announced a new multi-year expanded partnership with JPMorgan Chase. With this deal, the financial services company is set to become a key partner of the NBA team.
This newly expanded partnership has made Chase the Hawks’ and State Farm Arena’s official bank, credit card, wealth management, and investment banking partner.
The agreement will permit Chase to feature at the Hawks’ home arena, along with seamless integration including live in-venue presentation of the Hawks’ starting five lineups. Furthermore, Chase credit and debit cardholders will obtain early access to Hawks games as well as merchandise and concession discounts. They will also have exclusive access to games and other arena events.
The arrangement now includes a new provision in which Chase will serve as the presenting sponsor for the arena’s music venue, which will be known as ‘The Chase Concert Club.’ It will also collaborate with the Hawks on the community engagement venture ‘Project Rebound.’
This expands on Chase’s current commitment to introducing both the Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. Day game on January 16 and the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) night on February 24, both of which will continue to be sponsored under the expanded partnership.
Frank Nakano, Head of JPMorgan Chase’s Sports and Entertainment, Marketing Group, said, “The Hawks are our partner not only in the arena but throughout the greater Atlanta community. They demonstrate and share our commitment to strengthening Atlanta’s people and communities through our joint focus on financial health and wellness. We look forward to continuing and expanding that work while also unlocking new experiences and benefits for fans and our customers inside the arena.”
Andrew Saltzman, Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer, Hawks and State Farm Arena, commented, “As we have been focused on doing meaningful work with Chase in Atlanta, we are confident that this expanded partnership will serve as a strong foundation and strengthen the overall financial health of our community.”
