Athletic Club strike new sponsorship pact with B2BinPay

B2BinPay made its LaLiga debut on Sunday against Girona FC.

The LaLiga club, Athletic Club have announced a new sponsorship agreement with the all-in-one crypto payment platform, B2BinPay. Following this new deal, the brand has been named the official sponsor of the club for the remainder of the current campaign and the 2023/24 season.

The blockchain and cryptocurrency processing wallet provider made its LaLiga debut on Sunday against Girona FC, where the men’s first team sported the brand’s logo on the left sleeve of its jersey.

Arthur Azizov, B2BinPay’s CEO, commented, “It is a source of pride for our company to sponsor a team as big and historic as Athletic, with fans far beyond Bilbao. We’re confident the team will perform well in the remainder of the season and in the next one, with great chances of playing in European competitions. Therefore, in this agreement, we see a great opportunity to promote crypto processing among football fans in Europe.”

The top-division club claims that it is focusing on maximising sponsorship income and has apparently already garnered the attention of new businesses as part of the newly published Action Plan 2023-26 and is in line with its goal of enhancing operating income.

The arrangement reached by Athletic Bilbao with European business B2BinPay is identical to one made with DIGI, the telecom division of operator DIGI Communications, in November of last year. As part of this agreement, the operator’s logo was placed on the back of first-team jerseys, beginning with the Copa game against UD Alzira.
