The English Football club, Aston Villa FC have announced a new partnership with the Bitcoin-first financial institution, Xapo Bank.
As part of the deal, the brand has become the club’s official partner of the club. Along with this, one of the world’s oldest Bitcoin custodians and a fully regulated bank with development potential has also become official pre-season trip partner for Aston Villa’s 2025 trip of the United States.
Established in 2013, Xapo Bank is a fully regulated financial institution that combines traditional banking with cryptocurrency services. It provides interest-bearing USD and Bitcoin accounts, crypto-backed loans, and safe digital storage. With licenses in Gibraltar and the United Kingdom, Xapo is establishing itself as a market leader in safe, crypto-enabled banking. This collaboration intends to introduce Aston Villa’s global supporters to a next-generation financial model that combines cutting-edge technology with safe, regulated banking processes.
Both Aston Villa and Xapo Bank consider their partnership as a symbol of their common goal and worldwide expansion. As Villa’s profile grows as a result of great Premier League and European campaigns, Xapo Bank is leveraging the club’s platform to increase its worldwide footprint.
Adrian Filby, Chief Commercial Officer of Aston Villa, said, “We are delighted to be partnering with Xapo, an organisation whose vision for success aligns with Aston Villa’s long-term strategic thinking. They are at the leading edge of Bitcoin, and we look forward to enjoying a close and fruitful relationship where both parties can benefit from growth and exposure.”
Seamus Rocca, CEO of Xapo Bank, said, “Aston Villa is a club on the rise; ambitious and unafraid to challenge the status quo. And that is the same mentality we have here at Xapo. Like Villa, we’re not chasing fleeting headlines. We see Bitcoin as grounded in undeniable performance, built for the future. We’re focused on playing the long game and building something that lasts. Together, we’re bringing the promise of Bitcoin to a global stage, one fan at a time.”
