Aston Martin Aramco, the Formula 1 team, has expanded its commercial roster by appointing COINPAYMENTS as its global partner. The agreement activates at the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and marks the addition of a fast-growing fintech brand to the team’s broader sponsorship strategy.
The team confirmed that COINPAYMENTS will receive worldwide visibility across Aston Martin Aramco’s assets, including branding on the AMR25 and the race suits of the drivers and crew. The digital payments company, established in 2013, will also integrate elements of its technology into selected team operations while building fan-focused activations through the season.
Jefferson Slack, Managing Director of Commercial and Marketing, Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, said, “As a team, we are proud that innovation is at the forefront of all we do. Partnering with COINPAYMENTS is a natural fit for us as a team, as we continue to push boundaries and showcase our pursuit of excellence in every area of our business.”
Ali Rafi, CEO, COINPAYMENTS, added, “This partnership represents a powerful alignment of our values – innovation, performance, and precision. As our business continues to grow exponentially, we’re dedicated to delivering digital payment solutions that move as seamlessly and efficiently as a Formula One car on the track.
“Working alongside a brand that epitomises excellence and forward-thinking allows us to showcase the power of technology to enhance the payment experiences of businesses and individuals across the world. Together, we can push the boundaries of innovation on the global stage.”
The partnership continues Aston Martin Aramco’s expansion across technology, fintech and high-growth digital sectors. The team’s commercial network already includes Coinbase as its official crypto partner, alongside brands such as UKG, CoreWeave, Realme, Maaden, Pepperstone, PUMA, Xerox, Glenfiddich, Public, ServiceNow, and SentinelOne. COINPAYMENTS adds a specialised payments layer to that ecosystem and strengthens the team’s commercial diversification strategy. For COINPAYMENTS, the global scale of F1 offers a platform to accelerate mainstream adoption of digital payments.
COINPAYMENTS joins at a moment of international expansion, having processed more than 50 billion dollars in digital transactions while serving over one million wallet users and 250,000 merchants worldwide. Its renewed entry into the United States market is expected to support the company’s next phase of global growth.
The announcement coincides with a decisive moment in Aston Martin Aramco’s 2025 campaign. The team enters the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix seventh in the Constructors’ standings with 80 points, behind Racing Bulls on 92 and ahead of Haas on 73 and Kick Sauber on 68. The season finale carries significance for final classification and potential strategic advantages heading into 2026.
Off track, the team is preparing for a landmark transition. Two-time world champion Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll continue as its driver pairing, while the leadership structure evolves ahead of the 2026 regulations. Andy Cowell will step into the role of Chief Strategy Officer, and legendary designer Adrian Newey will become Team Principal from the 2026 season. The team will unveil its 2026 challenger, the AMR26, on February 9.
Aston Martin Aramco will return to action during pre-season testing early next year before beginning its 2026 Formula 1 World Championship campaign.
