Assetz Property Group has strengthened its commitment to grassroots sport after joining the Rohan Bopanna Tennis Academy (RBTA) as an associate partner, supporting the academy’s mission to identify and develop the next generation of Indian tennis talent.
The partnership will focus on creating a structured pathway for high-potential junior players by providing access to world-class coaching, high-performance training and long-term developmental support. While financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, the collaboration underscores the growing role of corporate investment in strengthening India’s grassroots sporting ecosystem.
Founded by Indian tennis star Rohan Bopanna, RBTA is dedicated to nurturing aspiring players through internationally recognised coaching methodologies and holistic athlete development programmes. Operating from the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru, the academy combines technical training, physical conditioning and performance support to help young athletes progress through the competitive pathway.
As part of the partnership, Assetz Property Group will support RBTA’s efforts to identify, nurture and invest in promising junior players by helping provide the environment, resources and long-term backing required to maximise their potential. The collaboration reflects a shared vision of creating sustainable opportunities for young athletes and strengthening the foundations of Indian tennis.
For Assetz Property Group, the alliance extends its broader focus on community development, wellness and youth empowerment. The Bengaluru-based real estate developer has positioned itself around sustainable living and lifestyle-driven communities, making grassroots sport a natural extension of its long-term social impact initiatives.
The agreement also highlights the increasing importance of private-sector participation in Indian sports development. As academies continue to expand their talent identification and high-performance programmes, partnerships with corporate organisations are becoming an important source of financial support, infrastructure investment and athlete development resources.
Although details surrounding commercial activations have yet to be announced, the partnership provides Assetz with a platform to engage with families, young athletes and the wider sporting community while reinforcing RBTA’s ambitions of producing future Indian tennis champions.
The announcement adds to a broader trend of brands investing in grassroots and high-performance sports programmes as organisations increasingly seek partnerships that deliver both long-term community impact and meaningful brand engagement.
