AS Monaco partners up with Liga Stavok as regional gambling sponsor

Liga Stavok will be replacing fellow betting company BetCity as AS Monaco's regional sponsor.

The Ligue-1 club, AS Monaco, has inked an association with the Russian gambling brand Liga Stavok as their regional sponsor. The agreement signed between both parties will see them collaborate up until the end of the 2021-22 season.

With this deal, the Russian sports betting firm will see their brand being featured during the live broadcast of AS Monaco games in Russia via virtual LED advertising. They will also be granted the presence of their brand on the club’s social media platforms.

Liga Stavok will be replacing fellow betting company BetCity, who became AS Monaco’s first regional sponsor in Russia back in 2019 when both the parties signed a two-year deal. The betting firm has an existing association with an esports organization Gambit Esports, which has a partnership with AS Monaco to create an esports team.

“The club has a rich history, an impressive list of sporting achievements and an incredible number of trophies to its credit. For Liga Stavok, this partnership is a logical next step in the implementation of our business strategy, which is to strengthen our presence in the international market,” said Yuri Krasovsky, President of Liga Stavok.

Acknowledging the new partnership with the Russian betting firm, Oleg Petrov, Vice-President and CEO of AS Monaco stated: “This collaboration with a major player in Russian sports betting market will allow us to strengthen our attractiveness, develop our visibility and offer a special experience to Russian fans of AS Monaco and football.”

The French club has not had the best of the starts to the league this season and is placed 10th in the league table. Their recent 2-0 defeat against Lyon added to their misery.
