A French-registered Monaco-based professional basketball club, AS Monaco Basket has developed a sponsorship with the leading European cryptocurrency platform, zondacrypto.
Through this deal, the brand has been labelled as the main partner of the team for the Euroleague competition. Under the terms of the deal, the zondacrypto logo will feature on the front of the current French champions’ game shirts.
According to Monaco Basket, this agreement signals the start of a new chapter that will incorporate modern tactics, high performance, and long-term good effects through sport and business.
Oleksiy Yefimov, General Manager of AS Monaco Basket, said, “We are proud to welcome zondacrypto as the main partner of the EuroLeague. Their passion for pushing the boundaries of technology and partnerships reflects our own ambitions on the ground. Together, we aim to inspire and take new steps in European basketball.”
The cryptocurrency exchange has a long history of collaborating with sporting bodies. Some of the notable organisations in its sponsorship portfolio include Juventus FC, Atalanta BC, and CANYON/SRAM Racing.
In addition, zondacrypto partners with AS Monaco, the Princess Charlene Foundation of Monaco, and Top Marques Monaco, an automobile event.
Przemysław Kral, CEO of zondacrypto, commented, “The partnership with AS Monaco Basket reflects our desire to align with organisations that share our forward-looking mindset. Educating about modern financial technologies by speaking the language of sport has been our strategy for some time now and this leads to concrete business results, while also allowing us to support clubs that are constantly striving for greatness, both in sport and community impact. We are pleased to welcome the Roca Team to our crypto family.”
In recent years, there has been a rising trend of sporting groups collaborating with financial institutions, with these transactions becoming increasingly prevalent. Crypto exchanges, such as zondacrypto, have expressed a strong interest in sports sponsorship.
Just recently, crypto company Bitpanda forged a multi-year pact with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
