Arsenal Football Club, the Premier League club based in north London, has signed a new multi-year partnership with Deel, the global payroll and human resources technology company, marking the brand’s first major entry into elite European football.
Under the agreement, Deel has been appointed Arsenal’s official HR platform partner, with rights spanning both the men’s and women’s teams. The partnership delivers brand visibility across Emirates Stadium on matchdays, alongside integrated exposure across Arsenal’s digital, social, and content platforms throughout the season.
Crucially, the deal extends beyond conventional sponsorship. Arsenal will actively use Deel’s workforce management technology within its operations, supporting international hiring, payroll processing, and regulatory compliance across multiple markets. This positions the partnership as a working commercial relationship, where technology adoption sits alongside brand association.
Alex Bouaziz, Co-Founder and CEO of Deel, said, “Arsenal is one of the most iconic clubs in world sport, followed by millions and competing at the highest level, which makes this partnership a natural fit with our own global ambition.
“We are proud to welcome Arsenal as a Deel customer and support the club’s HR operations. This partnership is a milestone for us and places Deel at the heart of global football, connecting our platform with supporters and professionals in every corner of the world.”
Juliet Slot, Arsenal’s Chief Commercial Officer, added, “We’re delighted to welcome Deel to our Arsenal family – a brilliant and innovative team who will bring so much to what we’re trying to achieve at our club.
“Their global platform matches the scale of our ambition and operations, and their investment will continue to power our growth. We’re looking forward to many successful seasons together.”
Founded to support companies managing distributed and international teams, Deel now operates across more than 150 countries, benefiting from the rapid global shift towards remote and cross-border employment. Partnering with Arsenal gives the company access to one of football’s most visible global platforms, with reach across Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa.
For Arsenal, the deal fits into a broader commercial strategy that has increasingly prioritised technology, fintech, and service-led partners alongside established consumer brands. The club’s current portfolio includes partnerships with Paramount+, Zilch, Starling Bank, KONAMI, Stanley 1913, Guinness, Athletic Brewing, Asahi Super Dry, TCL, L’Oréal Paris, Bitpanda, and Airwallex. The addition of Deel reinforces a move towards partnerships that deliver operational value as well as commercial return.
Financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, though the partnership is confirmed as multi-year. Industry speculation has linked Deel to a potential future shirt sleeve sponsorship opportunity, but no such deal has been officially announced by the club.
On the field, Arsenal remain a consistent presence at the top end of the Premier League and the Women’s Super League, strengthening their appeal to global partners seeking year-round exposure across domestic and European competitions.
The partnership highlights a growing trend in elite football, where clubs are increasingly structured as global businesses and are aligning with technology providers that support both performance off the pitch and long-term commercial growth.
