Animoca Brands acquire naming rights to Australian and Aragon GPs

Since 2019, the capital business firm has been an official partner of MotoGP.

Animoca Brands has struck a new deal with MotoGP to acquire the naming rights for the Grand Prix in Australia and Aragon. The two MotoGP events will be titled the Gran Premio Animoca Brands de Aragon and the Animoca Brands Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.

Animoca Brands announced on its website on June 8 that it has reinforced its collaboration with Dorna Sports, the commercial rights holder for Grand Prix racing, to secure title sponsorships for two seasons.

In addition, the gaming company will also be the title sponsor of two additional races in 2023.

Since 2019, the capital business firm has been an official partner of MotoGP. The firm has acquired the rights to create NFTs as well as developed MotoGP Ignition, a competitive management and collectibles game platform.

Marc Saurina, Senior Director of Global Commercial Partnerships at Dorna Sports said, “We’re very happy to welcome Animoca Brands as the title sponsor for Aragon and Australia this season, and two more events in 2023.

“We’re very happy to take our collaboration to new heights – from the digital world to the track. We look forward to seeing our partnership gain even more exposure as Animoca Brands headlines at these events.”
