Airasia rejoins UFC as an official partner

The partnership will be concentrating on promoting the company's brand new travel and lifestyle Super App.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the world’s prime mixed martial arts organization, and Airasia Super App, Asia Pacific’s leading travelling and entertainment platform, recently unveiled a collaboration that would see the brand re-join the program as an official partner.

The partnership will be concentrating on promoting the company’s brand new travel and lifestyle Super App.

Airasia will now be the presenting sponsor of the UFC’s first pay-per-view card in Southeast Asia, UFC 275: TEIXEIRA versus PROCHAZKA, which will be aired live from Singapore Indoor Stadium on June 12.

TEIXEIRA vs PROCHAZKA at UFC 275 would be a championship twofold, held in Singapore with sponsorship from the Singapore Tourism Board, with the UFC world light heavyweight, Glover Teixeira facing world light heavyweight contender no.2 Jiri Prochazka and the UFC world women’s flyweight champion, Valentina Shevchenko against women’s flyweight contender no.5 Taila Santos.

As the official Super App partner of UFC, Airasia will gain access to a number of crucial resources, such as a branded appearance within the world-famous Octagon and exposure on television during UFC 275: PROCHAZKA vs. TEIXEIRA.

Furthermore, in this collaboration, UFC and Airasia will provide exclusive content for the Airasia Super App, which will be distributed all over UFC media platforms in APAC, as well as promotional campaigns such as exclusive lottery promotions in which fans can win a VIP experience to a UFC pay-per-view event in Las Vegas, as well as a variety of many other UFC accolades. A Brand Ambassador fund will be established as part of the collaboration arrangement, which would provide compensated commercial opportunities to the involved UFC athletes.

Nick Smith, UFC Vice President of Global Partnerships, said, “Airasia has been a fantastic partner over the years and we are thrilled to partner with them again in our return to Asia at our first pay-per-view event in market, and support the growth of their new Super App.”

“We are proud to continue working with UFC as we have been partners since 2017 and have worked on many projects together including the UFC Training Scholarship program. As they offer the first pay-per-view event in South East Asia, airasia Super App is happy to be part of the journey in engaging with viewers and building awareness around the offerings we now have as a super app offering services within the travel category as well as ride hailing, food delivery and more,” stated, Rudy Khaw, Group Chief Brand Officer, Airasia Super App.
