AdventHealth earns the naming-rights of Magic’s $70m facility

NBA’s Orlando Magic have expanded the partnership with AdventHealth to include the naming rights to the franchise’s new $70 million state-of-the-art practice facility and medical center. The announcement came on January 25 when the franchise released a press release and stated they are pleased to announce a multi-year partnership with the Florida-based healthcare system.

Earlier in December, the Magic announced that its long-standing partner AdventHealth would become the franchise’s inaugural practice jersey sponsor. Now the partnership has been expanded as team’s new 130000-square-foot training facility, building for the practice and training home for the team, will be officially named AdventHealth Training Center.

The facility is expected to open by the second quarter of 2022. It will include two basketball courts, strength and conditioning centers, training and recovery facilities, aquatic spaces for physical therapy and hydrotherapy, sports science and nutrition facilities, and cutting-edge audio-video & imaging technology.

The facility will also include AdventHealth’s 33300-square-foot medical center that will provide a world-class multi-discipline medicine with a focus on whole-person health and sports science.

While commenting on the new deal with the healthcare system, Orlando Magic’s chairman, Dan DeVos stated that the facility is even more than a world-class training center that will be a ‘win-win’ for the team as well as for the community.

DeVos further said, “We’re dedicated to two things – building a championship organization for the long-term and being an accountable and invested community partner with local residents. Health and wellness are so important to all of us and we’re eager to see this center contribute to meaningful outcomes on and off the court.”

The new training center promises to have all the facilities required for a top-level sports professional. The Magic currently train at the AdventHealth’s Amway Center. The franchise is currently placed on the ninth spot in the Eastern Conference.
