The German multinational sportswear giant, Adidas has teamed up with the young athletes from the Hi5 Foundation at St. Andrews court in Mumbai. The main aim of the meet was to amplify the narrative of ‘Impossible is nothing‘ by celebrating team spirit and collaboration which states the message ‘We see Possibilities when we come together‘. Mirabai Chanu, Lovlina Borgohain and Simranjit Kaur were part of this celebration too.
The sportswear brand has always been at the forefront whenever it is about encouraging young athletes in their sporting journey. Adidas acts like a driver in this voyage and takes new upcoming athletes where they feel it is impossible to get. The belief is straight, the athletes share inspiring stories with the Gen Z players and motivate them to become changemakers of the future.
At St. Andrews, Bandra, encouraging the concept of team spirit in sports, Adidas enabled its basketball court and started its interaction with the nation’s leading and most inspiring athletes.
The session was motivating as it allowed a conversation between the celebrated athletes like Mirabai Chanu, Lovlina Borgohain and Simranjit Kaur and young GenZ players. Everyone got to know the stories of these famous athletes and their hard work. It was inspiring for all the players from the Hi5 youth foundation, a professionally run sports NGO dedicated to coaching young underprivileged children.
Speaking about the event, Mirabai Chanu, Olympic Medalist, said, “The belief my family and my coach showed in me helped me conquer all the challenges which came my way both personally and professionally, something which we see in a team sport. Today, I chose to be part of this event to extend that support to these unique, powerful athletes. I want them to develop similar faith in their abilities, for this is what makes us unbeatable.”
Lovlina Borgohain said, “While I am a sportsperson representing individual sport, the hard work and effort that goes behind preparing for the big day is nothing short of teamwork of family, coaches and experts, meeting these young athletes today has inspired me to propagate the message of the importance of team spirit and coming together in sport.”
