Adidas signs multiyear global partnership extension with NBA

NBA and Adidas will mark the 20th year of their collaboration.

Sportswear giants, Adidas has extended its long-running global marketing partnership with National Basketball Association (NBA), Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and the NBA G-League in a multi-year deal.

NBA which is in its 75th season will extend its partnership with Adidas marking its 20th year of collaboration. With this agreement, the athletic giant will renew its global marketing rights for the NBA thus strengthening the collaboration between the two partners.

Eric Wise, Adidas Basketball Global General Manager in a statement said, “We look forward to providing fans with a closer look into how we are reimagining basketball through our new approach which brings lifestyle and performance together as one.”

Adidas has also got big-name basketball athletes signed to its roster, which includes the likes of Brooklyn Net’s James Harden, the Portland Trail Blazer’s Damian Lillard, the Utah Jazz’s Donovan Hawks, Trae Youngs of Atalanta Hawks, and NBA rookie such as the Houstons Rocket’s Jalen Green.

Austin Hodges, Head of Adidas NBA Marketing added: “We look forward to the continued success of our 20 year partnership, one that features two globally iconic brands dedicated to growing the game and changing lives through the power of sport.”

This announcement was shortly followed after the Chicago Sky were crowned as the champions of the WNBA 25 edition. Adidas also has several WNBA stars on its roster 25 in total, including Candance Parker, Kahleah Copper, Liz Cambage, Tina Charles and Chiney and Nneka Ogwumike.
