adidas and the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) have entered into a new long-term partnership, making the German sportswear giant the federation’s official kit supplier and strategic partner across its national football teams.
The agreement, which commenced in August 2026, brings an end to Croatia’s 26-year association with Nike, which had supplied the country’s national teams since 2000. The transition marks a major shift in the commercial identity of one of international football’s most recognisable brands, with adidas taking over at the start of a new World Cup cycle.
Under the partnership, adidas will supply match kits, training apparel and culturewear for Croatia’s men’s, women’s and youth national teams. The relationship is also intended to extend beyond technical equipment, with both organisations aiming to strengthen fan engagement and promote Croatian football across different levels of the game.
The first adidas collection is scheduled to be unveiled in September, with Croatia’s men’s national team set to debut the new kits during the UEFA Nations League. The partnership also creates an opportunity for adidas to develop a broader merchandise and lifestyle proposition around Croatia’s distinctive red-and-white checkerboard identity.
Marijan Kustić, President of the Croatian Football Federation, said, “This is an important moment for Croatian football and for the Croatian Football Federation. We are proud of everything our national teams have achieved, but we are equally focused on what lies ahead. adidas is one of the world’s leading sports brands, with a rich football heritage and a proven commitment to excellence. We are delighted to begin this new partnership and look forward to working together as we continue to develop Croatian football at every level.”
Sam Handy, GM adidas Football, added, “Croatia has created a remarkable football story and established itself as one of the most respected national teams in world football. We have immense respect for the passion, talent and ambition that define Croatian football, and we are proud to begin this new partnership with the Croatian Football Federation. We look forward to supporting all Croatian national teams in the years ahead and helping write the next chapter of their journey.”
For adidas, Croatia strengthens an already significant national-team portfolio following the FIFA World Cup 2026. Croatia’s recent record, including a World Cup final appearance in 2018 and a third-place finish in 2022, gives the brand a high-profile football property with strong international recognition.
For HNS, the partnership brings adidas’ global performance, retail and football ecosystem to the federation while creating new opportunities across performance wear, fan merchandise and football culture.
The move ultimately represents more than a change in kit supplier. It begins a new commercial chapter for Croatian football, pairing one of the sport’s most distinctive national-team identities with one of the world’s leading football brands.
