Through this association, both parties will work together to promote inclusivity and credibility in sports.

The global sports brand, Adidas has announced the notable table tennis player, Manika Batra as its brand ambassador. With this partnership, the remarkable player joined the likes of Mirabai Chanu, Lovlina Borgohain and Hima Das that have teamed up with the sportswear giant.

Through this association, both parties will work together to promote inclusivity and credibility in sports while advancing the career aspiration of women athletes across the nation. Manika Batra with Adidas will inspire and enlighten females to identify their dreams and follow them with the utmost freedom. This partnership would further enhance the stance of women in the sports industry as they attempt to get themselves recognized in a patriarchy driven country.

Sunil Gupta, the senior director at Adidas, India, shed light upon this association and said, “We are thrilled to have Manika Batra as the newest member of the Adidas family. She is an inspiration to many young women who aspire to push limits and achieve seemingly unachievable goals. We will continue to drive the attitude, ‘Impossible Is Nothing’ through our athletes while celebrating women in the world of sports.”

Manika Batra also gave her insights on the partnership and said, “Partnering with Adidas is an opportunity every sports person looks forward to. I am very excited and grateful for this to have come my way especially at a time when the brand is celebrating women through their ‘Impossible Is Nothing’ campaign. I hope with my sport and my association with Adidas, I can empower and encourage women to see possibilities irrespective of the challenges so that the nation can witness many more ‘golden girls’.”

This year Adidas has joined hands with some popular names in the sports industry. The brand signed a multi-year deal with the Indian football player, Sandesh Jhingan and also launched a revolutionary initiative with Arsenal.
