adidas returns to outfit French Rugby Federation

The partnership with adidas will extend through 2028, covering major international tournaments such as the Women's Rugby World Cup 2025 and the Men's in 2027.

The French Rugby Federation (FFR), the governing body for rugby union in France, has announced a renewed partnership with the global sportswear giant, adidas.

This four-year deal has marked a return for adidas, which previously supplied the French national teams’ kits from 2012 to 2018.

The partnership will extend through 2028, covering major international tournaments such as the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 in England and the Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 in Australia. adidas has replaced Le Coq Sportif, the FFR’s kit supplier since 2018.

Commenting on the occasion, Florian GRILL, President of the French Rugby Federation, said, “The partnership between adidas and the FFR is symbolic of our project for French rugby. Adidas supports high performance and our 14 French women’s and men’s teams with its capacity for innovation, but adidas supports clubs and amateur rugby just as much with nearly 900 women’s teams (minettes, cadettes and seniors) who will benefit from grants. Because of this partnership, adidas supports French rugby from the grassroots to the top.”

Marine DUSSERE, Sport Marketing Director, adidas France, added, “At adidas, performance is at the heart of everything we do. By collaborating with the FFR, we are committed not only to providing our best equipment to maximize the potential of players on the field, but also to bringing together and inspiring all communities through the practice of sport.”

A global leader in the sportswear industry, adidas has been at the forefront of athletic innovation since its founding in the 1950s. The three-stripe brand’s commitment to supporting athletes is evident in its extensive partnerships with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) and prestigious clubs like Eintracht Frankfurt, Como 1907AFC AjaxAl Nassr FC and Aston Villa FC. Additionally, the sportswear manufacturer’s partnership with the Esports World Cup Foundation showcases its forward-thinking approach to the evolving sports landscape.
