adidas, the renowned German sports brand, has added Ellie Kildunne, an English rugby union player, to its elite worldwide roster of athletes.
The collaboration is based on both performance and style, with a common goal to improve the game of rugby on the pitch while also advancing the sport’s culture off the pitch.
Kildunne is known for her thrilling gameplay, unrivalled speed, quick agility, and remarkable technical abilities, and this news comes on the heels of her important involvement in recent big tournament triumphs. She just gained center stage as a member of the winning squad in one of the world’s most significant rugby events this spring.
Kildunne has already been wearing the adidas RS15 Avaglide, a women’s specific boot designed to support the performance requirements of athletes in modern rugby, which includes an impressive list of players, including Ilona Maher, Jess Breach, Jorja Miller, and Manae Feleu.
Off the pitch, Ellie is noted for her unrelenting desire, contagious enthusiasm, and enjoyment of expressing herself via her style.
On the development, Ellie Kildunne said, “I have always been a huge fan of adidas. This partnership offers me an opportunity to express every facet of myself; not only are adidas championing the growth of rugby at all levels, but they are also at the center of style and culture. I can’t wait to work with adidas, as we seek to continue making a positive impact both on and off the pitch.”
Kerryn Foster, GM of specialist sports at adidas, said, “Ellie is an undeniable force within rugby, with a drive to perform at the highest level for herself, her team, and the sport. At adidas, we have made great progress towards supporting the evolution of the women’s game through our work with our athletes and the introduction of the adidas RS15 Avaglide. We look forward to a partnership with a shared ambition to continue growing in this space.”
