The Madhya Pradesh League (MPL), the state’s premier professional T20 cricket league, has announced a significant partnership with the Adani Group, one of India’s leading diversified conglomerates.
The Adani Group will serve as the title sponsor for the highly anticipated 2025 season, a collaboration poised to significantly boost sports development and unearth local cricketing talent across Madhya Pradesh.
Organized by the Gwalior Division Cricket Association (GDCA) under the aegis of the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA), the MPL is geared for substantial growth in its second edition. The men’s tournament will expand from five to seven teams, welcoming new franchises from the Bundelkhand and Chambal regions, promising even greater regional representation and competition.
Perhaps the most groundbreaking development for the 2025 season is the official launch of the women’s competition. This historic addition will feature three teams, including one representing the state capital, Bhopal. This pivotal inclusion underscores the MPL’s unwavering dedication to promoting gender inclusivity in sports and providing a robust and visible platform for aspiring women cricketers throughout Madhya Pradesh.
Shri Mahanaaryaman Scindia, Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh League, expressed his enthusiasm regarding the partnership and said, “We are happy to have Adani Group as our title sponsor… We look forward to an exciting season”.
