Absolute Sports, a Nazara Technologies subsidiary and parent company of Sportskeeda.com, ProFootballNetwork.com, and SoapCentral.com, has signed an asset purchase contract, with certain closing conditions, for buying all of the assets of DeltiasGaming.com, a leading source of gaming and esports content in the US.
The agreement is for an all-cash deal worth $900K (INR 7.5 crores) to be paid over one or more tranches and is scheduled to conclude within 45 days.
DeltiasGaming.com reported sales of US $575K (INR 4.8 crores) for the year ending June 2024. Absolute Sports will utilise its financial reserves to fund the deal.
Absolute Sports, which currently serves a big gaming audience through its flagship site Sportskeeda.com, intends to expand its footprint in the gaming and esports media publishing industry in the United States. It plans to harness Deltia’s Gaming’s dedicated user base of around 1.5 million monthly readers and long-standing brand equity to position the company as an authoritative voice in the gaming media market.
Along with this, the acquisition also gives the business access to a significant following on YouTube and renowned game streaming network Twitch through Deltia’s game brand.
