Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) has extended its global partnership with FIFA through 2030, reinforcing one of the longest-running commercial relationships in international sport as football’s governing body prepares for a landmark decade of global competitions.
The renewed agreement will see the world’s largest brewer continue as FIFA’s official beer sponsor across the FIFA World Cup 2026, FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 and FIFA World Cup 2030. The extension takes the relationship between the two organisations beyond 40 years, having first begun ahead of the FIFA World Cup Mexico 1986.
The announcement comes less than a year before the FIFA World Cup 2026, which is set to become the largest edition of the tournament in history. Co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, the competition will feature 48 national teams, 104 matches and 16 host cities, significantly expanding its global footprint and commercial potential.
For FIFA, the agreement secures a long-term commitment from a category-leading multinational brand at a time when the organisation is entering an unprecedented cycle of major events. For AB InBev, the partnership provides access to one of the most valuable marketing platforms in global sport, connecting its brands with billions of football fans worldwide.
AB InBev is expected to activate the sponsorship through flagship brands including Budweiser and Michelob ULTRA, building on a sports marketing portfolio that spans major properties such as the Olympic Games through 2032, the ATP Tour, ICC events, AC Milan and multiple IPL franchises.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino said, “We are thrilled to have extended our iconic partnership with AB InBev, the world’s leading brewer, beyond this year’s game-changing FIFA World Cup. AB InBev has helped elevate FIFA’s tournaments and events since 1986, and even before a ball has been kicked here in North America in 2026, we are delighted to confirm that it will continue to work with us during a period that will see the world unite in celebration of the centenary of the FIFA World Cup and women’s football taken to epic new heights.”
AB InBev CEO, Michel Doukeris, added, “The FIFA World Cup is the world’s biggest sporting event, capturing the attention of billions of fans. For 40 years, our brands have been at the centre of these celebrations, reinforcing beer’s strong connection to the culture of sport. We’re excited to continue our partnership with FIFA, creating more unforgettable moments of cheers for fans everywhere.”
The extension further strengthens FIFA’s growing commercial programme, which has recently added global partners including Salesforce, Fanatics, YouTube, Airbnb, LEGO, Globant and Boggi Milano as the organisation builds toward a historic period for both men’s and women’s football.
