With the league matches completed and the playoffs going in full flow, the Indian Premier League 15 keeps gaining popularity among fans during the last week of the tournament.
According to a TAM Sports report, 151 brands advertised on both regional, Hindi and English sports channels throughout 65 matches of the tournament.
The most recent report states that the average number of sponsors and brands increased over the final four weeks of the ongoing IPL season compared to the first four weeks. In the last four weeks, the average number of categories, advertisers, and brands increased by 14%, 13%, and 8%, respectively.
The top five categories listed in the 65 matches, featured four categories from the e-commerce industry, accounting for 32% of ad volumes. The top five categories accounted for 38% of total ad volume.
During the 65 matches, the top five sponsors comprised 24% of ad volumes. Century Ply was the most popular executive brand in Hindi and English, while Asian Paints Apex Ultima Protek was the most popular exclusive brand on the regional sports channel.
Out of the 151 brands that advertised on both regional, Hindi and English sports channels during the league matches of the tournament, ‘Dream11.com’ was the most popular brand.
