India host inaugural World Pickleball Championship with star-studded sponsor lineup

India is making history in the world of sports as it hosts its first-ever World Pickleball Championship, which opened today at the prestigious Cricket Club of India (CCI) in Mumbai.

The highly anticipated event, part of the WPC Series – Asia Pacific, will run from November 12 to 17, 2024, drawing a global audience and setting a new benchmark for pickleball in India.

With around 650 players from six to seven countries, including Australia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Poland, and Singapore, the tournament has attracted a strong international lineup. The leading global brand, Skechers is serving as the official kit partner, equipping players with stylish and functional attire. The Cricket Club of India, an iconic venue known for hosting major sports events, is the official venue partner. Franklin, a top sports equipment brand, is the tournament’s ball partner, ensuring players compete with high-quality gear.

The digital coverage of the event is powered by Amuzi Sports, a specialised sports development company and official digital broadcaster. Fans from around the world can follow the action live.
