Ferrari and Shell, two legendary names in the world of automotive performance, have officially announced the renewal of their historic partnership.
This long-standing relationship, which dates back to 1929, has been a cornerstone of Ferrari’s success on and off the track, and the renewed alliance is set to come into effect on January 1, 2026.
The renewed partnership covers the Prancing Horses’ Scuderia Ferrari HP Formula 1 team, its Hypercar Le Mans division, and the Ferrari Challenge Series. It encompasses not only the supply of high-performance fuel and lubricants but also a deepening of technical collaboration between the two companies. Shell’s products play a critical role in optimizing Ferrari’s engine performance and efficiency, while joint research and development efforts are expected to further push the boundaries of motorsport technology and sustainability.
A key focus of this partnership renewal is the shared commitment to sustainable racing. Ferrari and Shell are working closely to develop environmentally friendly fuel and lubricant solutions, which align with F1’s broader goals of reducing its environmental impact. Both companies aim to drive innovation in this area, ensuring that their efforts contribute to a greener, more sustainable future for the sport.
Shell is a multinational oil and gas company headquartered in London, United Kingdom. It is one of the largest companies in the world and operates in various countries. Shell is involved in the exploration, production, refining, and marketing of petroleum products, as well as renewable energy sources.
As part of the renewed deal, Shell’s branding will be prominently featured on Ferrari’s Formula 1 cars, race suits, and other team assets, underscoring the significance of this collaboration. The renewed partnership follows Ferrari’s recent deals with UniCredit, HP, Harman Automotive, ZCG, CEVA Logistics, and Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0%.
The 2025 Formula 1 season will also see significant changes within Ferrari, with seven-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton, joining the team alongside current driver, Charles Leclerc. This dynamic pairing has already generated excitement within the motorsport community as Ferrari continues to aim for success on the world stage.
Ferrari’s performance on the track has been strong this season, with the team recently securing a 1-2 finish at the United States Grand Prix. Currently sitting third in the Constructors’ Championship with 496 points, Ferrari is closely trailing McLaren Formula 1 Team (544 points) and Oracle Red Bull Racing (504 points) as the 2024 season reaches its final stages. With just five races left, Ferrari remains focused on maintaining momentum and challenging for the title, starting with the upcoming Mexican Grand Prix this weekend.
